COME LORD JESUS

Come Lord Jesus, this I pray,

Arise in me and have your way,

Until everything I say or do

In word or deed expresses you.

Come Lord Jesus, abide within,

Teach my soul to cease from sin.

Inspire my thoughts ‘till all are new,

And I’m spirit conscious in all I do.

Come Lord Jesus, in me abound,

That divine expression may be found,

In this mortal body, so all can see,

Your life revealed instead of me.

Come Lord Jesus, in me abide,

‘Till love does rule from deep inside,

Banishing all death ‘till I’m set free,

And Live Everlasting I’ve found in thee.
