CONTENDING WILLS
Contending wills can not unite,
For love of self no one is right.
The heart dictates, the mouth does say,
Great hurtful words it does convey.
Contending wills, there chaos dwells,
Without submission no one prevails.
Though one persist to get his way,
His spiritual loss does heavily weigh.
Contending wills no peace can find,
Each to his fault so willingly blind.
God, let our hearts to you submit,
‘Till by your Love our hearts are knit.
