Our Hope and Peace

Through Christ alone do we have hope,
To find the strength we need to cope,
With pains of death we so often face,
Of friends and loved ones we embrace.

Though bitter tears may fill our eye,
And in our hearts we ask "God why",
Only through Christ does God reveal,
That suffering and death is not His will.

He comforts our sorrow, the hurt He heals,
The void down deep in our heart He fills.
He is our consolation, our hope and peace,
Through Him one day all death shall cease.
