IN ALL THINGS...THE PREEMINENCE - Col.1:18 The Most High is Lord of lords and King of kings and... "He that built ALL THINGS is God." Heb.3:5. He is our creator "God who created ALL THINGS by Jesus Christ." Eph.3:9. "ALL THINGS were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made." Jn.1:3. "God...quickeneth [makes alive] ALL THINGS" 1Tim.6:13 and as the Alpha and Omega Creator and Finisher, "He is upholding ALL THINGS by the word of His power." Heb.1:3. It is not at all in vain that... "By Him were ALL THINGS created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: ALL THINGS were created by Him, and for Him: and He is before ALL THINGS and by Him ALL THINGS consist." Col.1:16,18. "Thou art worthy O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created ALL THINGS, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." Rev.4:11. Therefore... "According to His good pleasure...He hath purposed in Himself: that in the dispensation of the fulness of times He might gather together in one ALL THINGS in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him in whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh ALL THINGS after the counsel of His own will." Eph.1:10,11. Truly, "ALL THINGS work together for good....to them who are the called according to His purpose." Ro.8:28. It shall come to pass for... "Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; Thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and ALL THINGS that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and Thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshipeth thee." Neh.9:6. "And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever." Rev.5: 12,13 Meanwhile, the Lord continues His work in... "Him for whom are ALL THINGS and by whom are ALL THINGS." Heb.2:10. Sovereignly, "The great God that formed ALL THINGS both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth the transgressors." Prv.25:10. In His omniscient wisdom and for His eventual pleasure, "The Lord hath made ALL THINGS for Himself, yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. "Prv.16:4 And in this temporary day of evil... "Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth ALL THINGS." Mk..9:12. And "He shall send Jesus Christ...whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of ALL THINGS, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began." Ac.3:21. Jesus said, "ALL THINGS must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me." Lk.24:44. Being the present day church called out of the world... "To us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are ALL THINGS...and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are ALL THINGS, and we by Him." 1Cor.8:6. "God...made the world and ALL THINGS therein....He giveth to all life, and breath, and ALL THINGS: ...He be not far from every one of us: for in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, for we are also His offspring." Act.17:24-28. He is the God of all flesh, the Lord of all, so "I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ" 1Cor.11:3. Specifically, at this time, "He is the head of the body the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in ALL THINGS he might have the preeminence." Col:1:18. "Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine...and Thou art exalted as head above all....and Thou reignest over all...and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all......for ALL THINGS come of thee." 1Chr.29:11-12. The Lord has a purpose for all His creation for... "He that descended is the same also that ascended up for above all heaven, that He might fill ALL THINGS." Eph.4:10. "He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put ALL THINGS under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over ALL THINGS to the church, which is His body, the fulness of Him that filleth all in all." Eph.1:20-23. God works sovereignly through man for... "What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the Son of man, that thou visitest him? Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, thou crownedest him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: Thou has put ALL THINGS in subjection under his feet. For in that He put all in subjection under Him, He left nothing that is not put under Him. But now we see not yet all things put under him (man). But we see Jesus....that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became Him, for whom are ALL THINGS, and by whom are ALL THINGS, in bringing many sons unto glory." Heb.2:6-10; Psa.8:4-6. "For He hath put ALL THINGS under His feet. But when he saith ALL THINGS are put under Him, it is manifest that He is excepted, which did put ALL THINGS under him. And when ALL THINGS shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto him that put ALL THINGS under Him, that God may be all in all." 1Cor.15:27,28. Regardless of carnal man's unbelief, "He is able even to subdue ALL THINGS unto Himself." Eph.3:21. So we see, "with God ALL THINGS are possible." Matt.9:26; Mk.9:23; 14:36. Truly, out "of Him, and [now] through Him, and [finally back] to Him, are ALL THINGS." Ro.11:36. Things which are in the divine process of being restored, reconciled, preserved and filled with glory. He is a truly faithful Creator and Redeemer for... "He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make ALL THINGS new....these words are true and faithful." Rev.21:5. And these are the words of a faithful and true witness which we proclaim to all nations......"We...preach unto you...Ye should turn...unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and ALL THINGS that are therein." Ac.14:15. Yea, "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, ALL THINGS are become new. And ALL THINGS are of God who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation." 2Cor.5:17,18. Therefore, there are those who suffer reproach "in ALL THINGS approving ourselves as the ministers of God.....as having nothing and yet possessing ALL THINGS." 2Cor.6-4-10. "For it pleased the Father that in Him (Christ) should all fulness dwell....to reconcile ALL THINGS unto Himself, by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth or things in heaven." Col.1:20. God alone is all powerful and worthy of all praise, for as firstfruits of His new creation... "His divine power hath given us ALL THINGS which pertain unto life and godliness." 2Ptr.1:3. This is "that we may grow up into Him in ALL THINGS." Eph.4:15. Only true "godliness is profitable in ALL THINGS." 1Tim.4. Therefore, in His grace, "God...hath in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of ALL THINGS, by whom also He made the worlds." Heb.1:1,2. Jesus said, "ALL THINGS are delivered to me of my Father. "Lk.10:22; Jn.3:35; 5:20; 13:3; 16:15; 17:24,26 and moreover, "all that I have is thine." Lk.15:31. The glorious promise stands... "He that overcometh shall inherit ALL THINGS..."Rev.21:7 ALL THINGS God has purposed in His creation shall come to pass, for... "Charity (the Spirit of God's unending love)...beareth ALL THINGS, Believeth ALL THINGS, hopeth ALL THINGS, endureth ALL THINGS. Charity never fails." 1Cor.13:7,8. Therefore beloved, "Above ALL THINGS, have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins." 1Ptr.4:8. LET US "GIVE THANKS ALWAYS FOR ALL THINGS UNTO GOD."
