There lives within, a man of sin

                                            Who sits upon a throne;

                                    The god of' Self (and all his kin),

                                            Who calls each choice his own.

                                    He knows what good and evil is,

                                            Yet, good he cannot do;

                                    For evil is by nature his,

                                            Since to himself he drew

                                    Benighting fruit of sin and death

                                            When tempted long ago.

                                    Still, God ordained a Seed through Seth,

                                            Who answers sin and woe.

                                    This gift is not for those who can,

                                            But whosoever will;

                                    For Love looks to the need of man,

                                            And seeks that void to fill.

                                    He ever mends the broken heart.

                                            And minds the salty tear.

                                    From such He never draws apart,

                                            But ever draws them near.

                                    Who would not give their all to Him

                                            Who yearns to be their All?

                                    Save those who clutch the man of sin;

                                            The Self which but enthralls.

                                    None can dethrone this craven beast

                                            But Jesus Christ alone.

                                    He is the mighty Prophet-Priest:

                                            The King we should enthrone.

                                    For there within the heart of man.

                                            God would His Kingdom bring;

                                    As every rule and countermand

                                            He from the will would fling.

                                    Until at last the man of sin,

                                            Like Humpty from the wall

                                    Is cast down ne'er to rise again.

                                           And God is ALL in all.
