PART TWO

25. After this vision, as I was recollecting and thinking it over, considering how near such a wonderful time might be, it was spoken that there was a triune cup prepared which was, as by a chain, let down to be drunk by such as were devoted principally to go forth in the spirit of prophetical forecast. This cup seemed to be let down out of Wisdom's principle and land, which is compounded of rich deified matter. It (the cup) had three bowls upon one handle and three distinct sorts of liquor in each of them. It was told me by the spirit of Wisdom, from whose hand it was administered, that one of these was the fresh oily composition. Another was as a flaming breath of fire. The other had the deep ruby tincture of the royal blood.

   Upon which it was said in me, "Behold and see what the sacred Trinity has let down for an enduring dowry that shall give the distinguishing seal to such as are born in Wisdom's kingdom.(37) And whosoever shall first be able and fitly qualified to taste of the first of these (the fresh oily composition) shall know a healing spring to immediately open and rise to disperse and dispel the contagious venom of the body of sin.

   From thence it will go forth to relieve what, in outward nature, may be diseased and disordered.(38) The property of the second cup is termed to be the spirit (the flaming breath of fire) draught, the effect of which will be a baptizing power that will pass through each and every part, producing a mighty shine and ray of light and glory.

   The nature of the third cup is the blood of full and perfect redemption; setting free and giving a true spiritual release and jubilee out from the sore travails, sorrows and burdens which the outward birth of degenerated nature has so universally involved all in. These travails, sorrows and burdens of a degenerated ailing body has involved those that are enlightened as well as those who are yet in darkness and ignorance.(39)

   26. This metaphorical representation has a most deep and intrinsical indication. It contains within it that secret which has not in any age of time been revealed. Although the fullness of the Godhead was couched in Christ, yet this mystery lay concealed in Him until the time of the more full outpouring of the Spirit and opening of the center. In this secret the triune power has lain hidden, but an alarm has sounded from the heavenly world, first and particularly to the new upspringing plants that are enclosed in the Sharon pasture.(40)

   To them it is given to drink of this sacred and sovereign elixir which may inspire growth and a degree of faith that shall be according to each one's measure. So accordingly will the CHRIST-like form come to be great, mighty and strong to transcendently work such mighty acts and deeds that shall certify those who are the vessels that are filled with this rich dowry. Such a dowry pertains only to the children of Wisdom's kingdom, whose birth-line runs (spiritually) from the genealogy of Judah.

   To the spiritual tribe of Judah the scepter of government and rule shall be renewed after a paradisiacal manner, all being recovered again by Him who is the first-born from the dead. He transfers upon these who are the redeemed out of the old corrupt, Adamic earth, various and innumerable powers for the upholding and maintaining of that glorious reign here upon earth. That reign shall be assumed by such principal, great and worthy saints as shall truly represent Christ. He will entrust the scepter of dominion in their hands until the time of the restitution of all things, making ready for His appearance in his glorified Person.

   This glorious appearing, may still seem strange and wonderful for this meager and temporal state as it presently stands. Yet it is verified to me by the holy unction that there is such an overturning approaching as will bring forth a new time such as hath not been. This oncoming era will, little by little, speak and break forth out of the heavens until the whole shall be brightened by this day-break of rising light through those saints that dwell in the body of light.(41)

   For the confirmation of this marvelous reign of Christ in His saints upon the earth, read again that ancient prophecy, Rev. 5:10 "And (thou) hast made us unto our God, kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth." This agrees with these latter prophecies that have been brought forth as the renewed witness and testimony of JESUS.

    27. The three sorts of liquor in the golden cups symbolize the threefold office and function of these love-elders that are to be enthroned with Christ the Lord. First, Faith is begotten, carrying a vehement thirst to drink in of this living blood as a quickening spirit. This answers to Christ's own words, "Except ye drink My blood, ye have no life in you" --John 6:66. The virtue of this must cleanse and take away that putrefaction that sin hath contracted, producing a healing spring that renews spiritual life continually. This is the blood of the covenant and relates to the high order of the Melchizedek priesthood.

   28. Secondly, the flaming breath is appropriated to the spirit of prophecy that searches into the deep fund of the all-foreknowing wisdom wherein these hidden treasures of knowledge do lie. There is made known the mind and counsel of God as to things past, present and future. And though there has been a great decline and quenching of the spirit, even unto death, now a resurrection is witnessed and is progressing in its further growth and increase so that God may be justified in this abounding dispensation of an express revelation of His mind.

    29. The third draught is of the holy anointing oil which confers the sacred dignity of a kingly dominion, which the saints of the Most High have never reached unto thus far, so as to reign over the earth. Now it may be known what has hindered and kept back the possession of this kingdom. It has been because there has not been a drinking in of these two foregoing high, rarified and spiced elixirs in such a measure as to have it their daily portion.

   Though it cannot be denied that there are some who have drunk deep hereof, they were not able to maintain it as a constant flowing spring; therefore there has been a stop put to the kingdom fully coming forth.(42) But behold, a cry is come forth from the Mighty Holy Prince and King to those who are found in the believing throngs, to let them know that now is the great day of the Feast of Tabernacles.

   Here the gushing powers of the Holy Ghost are offered freely to be given forth and emptied into the sanctuary-vessels, according to this previously mentioned preparation. Who now, upon such a free and generous call, would slack their pace? All are now to throw off every heavy weight, and whatever of this earthly mold does cleave to them and shackle their feet, for it is a time which requires all haste. The mild summer from the Heavens is now breaking forth in which their flight may be easy and pleasant.

   For the gales and wind of the spirit does warmly blow to entice and draw up from all that is of the earthly preoccupation. Skip and leap, ye lambs, who are anointed for this kingly fold, and be no longer supplanted of your right who do belong to the Christ-like crown, so that you may come as princely powers to reign here over the earth in Him.

   30. Behold in the spirit and you will see the everlasting gates of Lebanon stand open; from whence, in the paved walks of Love, you will be greeted and kindly received by the Kingly Shepherd and His Princely Bride, the Jerusalem Mother. She has provided here the seven overflowing pools which water this garden to entertain you.

   These overflowing pools make it always flowering and springing, and the continual descending showers from the superior heavens give marvellous feeding and refreshing to the growing plants of this new and blessed earth in which only Righteousness does reign.

   Albeit, this mystical Paradise shall be everywhere dispersed and opened so that each individual person may carry his new heavens and earth within him, and Christ shall be there maintaining His throne dominion. Though this be in the midst of this wilderness(43) where the wild plants do grow, and would tempt by their seeming fair and deceivable fruits, yet they will have no force or power to corrupt or draw the mind from what is relished and enjoyed in this Paradisiacal land. The inhabitants hereof shall come to that perfection of lily-purity in Christ, their life. They shall be all temptation-proof as was Christ Himself, while He conversed upon earth, never giving place to anything that might subtract from His high descent.(44)

   Such a Christ-like generation is now upon their coming forth, to whom He will commit the reins of His government. They shall be princes, each one in this Lebanon-court shall live above all fear.(45) These shall have all free commerce and correspondence with Christ and the highest of those saints that have put on the robes of glorification. As sin and all the evil properties have reigned with innumerable evil effects through Adam, even so, by the second Adam shall the righteous nature come to bear the sovereignty and dominion in the microcosm within them and in the great world without them.

   For the lion-spirits shall be made to couch to the Lamb's mild nature in them. Such gifts shall be conferred upon them and such Divine wisdom manifested in them, as shall cause the Nebuchadnezzars of the earth to intreat their friendship, as they are recognized to be the great favorites of the Most High God. They may be helpful to such dignitaries where the power and wisdom of their earthly kingdoms shall be too weak to help and relieve them.

   Then shall the proud Haman spirits also know that they must become servant-leaders of that horse upon which Christ has mounted His saints, all clothed upon as with the Heavenly King's glorious apparel and the golden chain of divine honor about their necks. These Hamans shall then go on before, proclaiming, "Thus shall it be done to those, whom the Head Prince of the new Sharon Paradise shall delight to honor."

   31. These are those that shall be the first springing fruits of the Sharon-glory, separated and redeemed out of the earth to bear dominion over it. For the spiritual powers from this sevenfold pool, into which they are baptized, shall expressly show forth what they are designed for.

   These powers shall reveal that not only are they to go forth to make report of the kingdom approaching, but to be active instruments in the establishment of it by overpowering that which is Babylonish and earthly, uncovering all false appearances of such as do pretend to own that spiritual kingdom but who are yet found as hollow and empty trunks that bear a name to live when they are dead, not having the sap of the spirit springing up in them.

   Upon the plains of Sharon, where the spicy plants do grow, it will be given them to discern what does show itself under this kind of covering. By the rising of this apostolic spirit, all the false Sages will be tried that they may no more go forth to deceive the simple-minded and ignorant. This unveiling of deception will prove to be a terrible shaking to their old heavens and earth, which must have an overturning. And may it rather be accomplished by the most sympathizing sense and love-compassion that this holy priestly order has for them, rather than by the severe vindictive justice going out against them.

   This is so that, by any means, they may in time be deterred from being supporters of the kingdom of the beast and the spirit of fallacy.

   32. Now while the Love-Trumpet does sound, let all that have drunk only of the bitter waters, and have satisfied themselves only with the outward husk of the grape, and have not tasted the sweet royal blood of it (that it might become a fountain of life within them), let these make their pursuit to be transplanted from their wild and barren soil into this fruitful land of all blessed store.

   Here they shall partake of those privileges, which the first planted worthies do truly possess and enjoy. And it may be told you that there is no care or turmoil, no vexing thorn nor prickling briar, but the lily-life which springs up naturally of its own kind, in which there shall be no taking thought for the morrow. God here undertakes to feed and clothe those that belong to His own family and household. The Eternal Rock of the Spirit shall still follow for their nourishment and refreshing, both internal and external.

   33. But now, I think there is an echo crying in my ears saying: "Here is made mention of a strange, wonderful time and state that is to be made manifest in this visible world. But when will it be?"

   The answer from the Spirit of Truth to this question is, that the time for this is present as well as future.(46) The fire-sparkles from the Holy Ghost have been sown and are still being sown in the new refined earth to become fitly prepared in persons scattered and dispersed here and there. Some of them are still lying underground while others are just budding forth still young and tender. Others are matured in Christ to a good degree having weathered all storms and shakings, stedfastly standing their ground.

   These are they that have come near to greater life and shall be the first lilies that shall put on the Rosy Crown in the nuptial tie, from whence will be produced births of a God-like Spirit and Nature. These shall go forth in that Nazarite Purity as shall be accompanied with an all-commanding power and shall not fail to spring from the God-Head root within. They shall stand in these latter days to judge the earth and bind the oppressors of it. For that, the prophecy must be fulfilled which says, "He will make His officers peace and His exactors righteousness." Such shall be the eminence of Wisdom for government in these first ripe and fully matured plants.

   34. These are they that are born out of the womb of eternal Love, as Wisdom's royal offspring to whom the name of the Philadelphian Church does rightly belong. They shall not know harsh shaking or disharmony. Their nature is that of perfect Love which casts out all enmity and envy. Each manifests and puts forth their gifts according to their various measures and growth. The infancy of one plant does not begrudge the more mature stature of another and the highest and more advanced do not esteem any less those who are yet of a minority and therefore weaker. All appear in that lovely valley of meekness and humility as coming from one eternal Root, growing up together to make up that pleasant and sweet-scented Rose.

   From this rose are the spicy scents of the Deified Nature released, so that the variety of the gifts and powers that manifest themselves among the Sharon-Rose inhabitants, do not impair and lessen but greatly demonstrate the beauty and glory of unity. So they avoid all contest or strife with any, of whatever type profession they may be, and are offended at nothing. Where the evil properties of sin bear rule and dominion, detesting all reconciliation with this Love, and whose seed breeds and nourishes bitter enmity each against the other, let us go from them.

   Let us draw out of the Rock that honey and milk which will make us mild and sweet and of an all peaceable spirit, according to that which the Royal Prophet has declared. He said that it is a good and pleasant thing for brethren to dwell together in unity. Oh! Blessed are those that shall excel herein.

   35. Thus the Sharon state has been thoroughly placed before you in a figure of its true resemblance. This shall invite and incite those who are lingering in the Babylonian Land who do grow as sapless and dead plants, feeding and being satisfied with the dust of corrupt earthly things that are no better than serpent's meat. Haste! Haste, therefore, and come away and understand the Spirit's call this day. For who would not be of that number of the renowned plants that shall bear and carry the glory of the New Havilah Land, where rivers of pleasure and endless joys shall be your portion? You shall walk among the Fire-stones which shall burn and devour the briars and thorns that stand in the way to oppose them.

   36. Now as to those that have this precious grain sown in them but still prolong and delay its coming forth because they are yet under the earth and liable to the stiflings of the contrary principal, this then is a word of counsel to them. That they take care to dig and pare away what has imprisoned this precious grain that it may put forth its head for increase and growth.(47)

   37. And for such as have cut their way through and are sprung up in a good degree, the call to them is that they awaken such a thirst that may draw down the heavenly mists and dews until they abound as a mighty shower that they may spring up as anointed flowers. And thus, being beautified and replenished, what shall be their entertainment but the glorious Lord overspreading them with His presence of love, pleasure and joy, that they may spend away time in a parallel state to what the saints in eternity do enjoy.(48)

THE PRIZE

    After the tedious years of sweat and toil
    In this vexatious cursed fruitless soil.
    How pleasant do the gracious tidings sound
    Of Sharon's glory, and lost Eden found?
    Where the Cherubic flaming sword must prove
    Resistless, yielding to victorious love.
    Come, holy warriors, and behold your Prize,
    All-glorious, dazzling e'vn the enlightened eyes,
    Come on to blest triumphant victories.

    Hark! how the heavenly-sweet, yet loud alarms
    Call to the holy warriors successful arms.
    The ethereal arch-angelic trumpets sound
    And spread the ringing heavens and earth around,
    Sounds that magnanimous souls inspire,
    Breathing Divine heroic martial fire,
    On then, and fearless hell's last utmost rage,
    And the world's enchanting sorceries, engage.
    The Spirit's bright burnished sword of flaming love,
    And Faith's unknown Divine Magia prove.
    On prosperous, trampling down the insulting foes
    That would the kingdom of the Lamb oppose.
    Seize the fair lily's virgin-crown, and crop the Sharon-rose.

    As once the Christian hosts, while near they drew
    Th' engagement, saw the holy plain in view;
    With fresh redoubled vigor on they fell,
    And bore down strait the routed Infidel:
    So while we here, as on Mount Pisgah, stand,
    And prospect take of the New Canaan-land;
    What life, what zeal, what valorous flame inspires;
    What pow'rs can e'er resist such ten-fold vig'rous fires!
    We fight like famed heroic lovers true
    That draw their conquering swords with their fair Prize in view.
    Say, dear Sophia, wilt thou lead us on?
    For never can we lay our weapons down
    Till we're possessed of the bright sun, and wear thy starry crown,
    Enthroned with our Emmanuel dear,
    All conquerant! Born in us, thy Spouse and Son
    In blissful love's seraphic union,
    The Lily thou; the rose of Sharon He.
    Hosanna! Hallelujah! Praise to Thee!
    Already Faith presages, and assures the victory.

    All hail, all hail, then, from the God of Love,
    Cries the all-charming Virgin from above:
    Your claim great champion-victors we approve,
    Possess the happy plains where nature grows
    Eternal pure; where milk and honey flows;
    Rivers of oil, and the new kingdom's wine
    In fair meanders run; and fruits divine
    On silver-branching trees of life depend
    All-plenteous bliss luxuriates without end.
    Seven mighty mountains here transcend in height,
    Flowering with roses and with lilies bright;
    To fill our darling heroes with delight,
    Roses and lilies twine, in one combined
    And shall in you unite.

    Your Mother dear, the new Jerusalem,
    Now calls, the glassy ocean's tide to stem,
    She comes to meet your high ascension race,
    Glancing her jasper light, love's precious grace;
    And flies with open arms to your embrace.
    She unlocks her pearly portals; streaming down
    Celestial virtues from each precious stone,
    Flaming in her bright-garnished rich foundation.
    Her streets are paved with love, her heavenly mold
    Of living, crystalline, transparent gold.
    No sun she needs, nor moon's inferior ray:
    God's presence makes her everlasting day.
    Nothing profane, no curse can enter here;
    This clime not one polluted thought can bear,
    No cares, no sad discordant accent found;
    All dancing to the sphere's melodious sound,
    While sovereign over all love's joys abound;
    They spring in sportful triumphs, swell and float
    The heavenly orbs around.

    When she's enfranchised and installed her friends,
    The glorious Salem back with them descends;
    Circled with saints and angels, beauteous train!
    And opens here her Lord's triumphant reign.
    Then shall the morning stars together sing,
    And echoing loud the new creation ring;
    The victors both in heaven and earth are crowned
    And peace and love to man, and glory to the Highest,
    From every part resound.

37. She here speaks of Wisdom in metaphor, just as is found in Proverbs 8. She is not speaking of another Deity or another God. She is not referring to a Goddess as some might superstitiously suppose. She is speaking of the very spouse of God through which He has chosen to birth and bring forth all that He does--wisdom! Wisdom's kingdom, therefore, is the kingdom of God which is ordered by, brought forth in, and maintained only of--Wisdom. His Wisdom!

38. In TSL's article, Living at Gilgal, we spoke of some of these very things, not knowing at the time that The Glory of Sharon also spoke so clearly of the same things. One of the things brought out in that issue of TSL was that we have been so quick to run to doctors and medicine to relieve pain and suffering and to fend off death that we have known little relief and almost no divine healing. The reason, I do believe, is that God will not work in partnership with other means where His glory is in question. I know that He has worked with doctors and with medicine in the past and will probably continue to do so where some are concerned, but where He has purposed to bring forth a finished work in one, He, I dare to say, will jealously require that person's entire reliance to be placed upon Him alone. Jane here alludes to that.

39. So of these three cups, the 1st cup, the oily composition, is to bring health and wholeness to the physical body; the 2nd cup, the flaming breath of fire, brings a beautiful shine and lustre of glory to the physical body; the 3rd cup, the royal blood, brings full and complete redemption and release from all pain and physical suffering. It sounds very much like the process of the redemption of the body. We have a tendency to think of such things as being sudden, when God almost always does them through a gradual and killing process. The manifestation of what that process produces may surely come suddenly, but not from out of nowhere. We favor quick dashes, short sprints; God loves the marathon.

40. The secret here referred to which, she says, had never before been revealed in any age, is the secret of the Triune Power which we see at work in the person of Jesus Christ. This is not giftings; it is fullness. Such a thing has been reserved for those upon whom the ends of this age are come and is the substance over which there is great joy to be manifested in the great Feast of Tabernacles. That feast in which all has been reaped and gathered in--even the body!

41. This day of light, of which we read in Isaiah, comes from the fact of a people who are walking in the light of seven days. They have all the accumulated light which God has given through the previous six sounding trumpets, each bringing new light to walk in. As we enter into the seventh day, its light is already beginning to be announced by the trumpets of God in declaring that last and final message which shall bring the defeat of the last enemy, which is death. The light we have begun to dimly see upon the horizon of the approaching seventh day is glory--the glory of the Sharon state of redemption! Arise ye saints of the Most High! Arise and posses the kingdom!

42. My, when one glances back at the lives of some of God's choicest vessels such as Charles Finney, a man given to prayer; a man whose ministry arrested whole towns as if in the grip of impending doom, so that all normal commerce came to a halt as men looked to their souls, it seems that we are faced with prospects so altogether awesome that we do not begin to perceive their true nature. Then we look at Jesus and know that He did walk in a complete manifestation of the kingdom on earth, but He died. His death seems to contradict any notion of ruling and reigning on earth until we understand that it was through death that He overcame him who had the power of death and established His kingdom over, not only the earth but heaven too, and all realms besides.

43. This wilderness here referred to is the present world system in which we now find ourselves and concerning which, Christ Jesus prayed that we might not be taken out of it but be kept from its evil.

44. This calls to mind a subject which often inserts itself into conversations among the saints these days. Because we are not under law, are we then, as one brother recently put it, "Without any rules whatever?" God's whole universe is founded upon laws and all things find their perfect outworkings upon such laws. So while it may assuredly be said that we are delivered forever from the keeping of carnal laws, there is no such thing as a disciple where there is no discipline or restraint. The gentleman mentioned above went on to state, "I can do anything I want, without any limits at all." No, we must say with Paul that we are, ". . . not without law to God, but under law to Christ"--I Corinthians 9:21. Indeed, we do not adhere to do's or don'ts but to a law of spirit so that we keep ourselves, as husband and wife keep themselves for each other, only for Him. Television, newspapers, magazines, etc., we have the liberty to watch and to use with discretion, but even in these things there comes a time when, if they do not add to our union with Christ; if we find them actually taking away from our relationship with Him, then we willingly put them away. Not as if keeping a law, but as valuing our spiritual life and relationship with Christ more than these.

45. Living above all fear is quite a marvelous work of God. The fear of man has been an awesome taskmaster among us and often we have compromised Christ's interests simply because we feared the reaction or response of the one we should have spoken to about a matter. Men, according to God, are subject to bondage through fear of death. Many cannot come the way of true sonship at this time because they are afraid they will be deceived. It is because of this that the truth of the salvation of all men is yet shared by a growing minority. People are afraid to truly entrust the keeping of their souls to Him who is able to keep whatever is committed to Him. They are still their own shepherds. Therefore, it is written concerning the heavenly Jerusalem, "But the fearful and unbelieving . . . shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death" --Revelation 21:8. They cannot enter the holy city, the New Jerusalem because of fear. Being able to live above all fear and still not reside in presumption is a work of God at which one must marvel with deep gratitude and love.

46. The reason the time for this springing life can be both present and future is that it can verily be present for the individual while yet future for the general appearance. Christ holds no one back from the benefits or revenues of all He holds out if they are willing to press in now. To this the life and example of Enoch testifies. But in Jane's day, the general time of its appearing was yet future for it was reserved for our day when it is to be made known experientially both in the particular and in general among many.

47. The caution here is to those who have been some time aware of such things but have not as yet come into the reality of them. She gives to them the warning that something has hindered, and that they must seek to learn what it is that has hindered and go to God for grace to lay it aside. Often we become so habitual concerning some area that we not only do not listen for God about it, we fail to listen to Him about it. Healthy introspection is always in order, as well as repentance.

48. Meaning that they have access to that high heavenly estate as much as to the earthly one. Jesus hinted at this when He said to Nicodemus, "No man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven" --John 3:13. The inference here is that even though He stands on earth speaking with Nicodemus, He is also in heaven from whence He always spoke and acted. So it shall also be with those who come into that same state of the Glory of Sharon that He so manifested here on earth.
