"IN THE BEGINNING"

In the beginning, Christ was the only begotten Son in the bosom of the Father-Jn.1:18. This was Jesus Christ "who is the image of the invisible God, the first born of every creature: For BY HIM WERE ALL THINGS CREATED [directly or indirectly] that are IN HEAVEN, and that are IN EARTH, VISIBLE and INVISIBLE, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or PRINCIPALITIES OR POWERS [either good or evil - Eph.3:10; 6:12] : ALL THINGS [such as exist in both LIFE and DEATH] WERE CREATED [preordained and fabricated] BY HIM, and FOR HIM: and HE IS BEFORE ALL THINGS, and BY HIM ALL THINGS CONSIST." Col.1:15-17; Jn.1:3; Rev.4:11. These scriptures as well as numerous others, bear true witness to "the great GOD THAT FORMED ALL THINGS." Prv.26:10; Neh.9:6; Rev.10:6. He alone is the great Creator and sustainer "in whose hand is the soul of EVERY LIVING THING and breath of ALL MANKIND."Jb.12:10; Ac.14:15; 17:25.

Paul, in his God inspired understanding proclaims, "Let EVERY soul be subject unto the higher powers. For THERE IS NO POWER BUT OF GOD: the powers that be [including those lower powers of the devil’s domain] are ORDAINED OF GOD."Ro.13:1. Therefore we know, that even "the PRINCE OF THE POWER OF THE AIR, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience" (Eph.2:2) is created and ordained of the Most High God - Jer.51:15; Jn.1:3; 1Cor.8:5,6.

God who is love (1Jn.4:8), cannot do evil directly, nor even think cruel, selfish, sinful, lawless or purposeless evil (1Cor.13:5), neither can he be tempted with [anyone else’s-nor by what is] evil, neither does He Himself directly tempt any man (Jas.1:13), for "in Him [His own intrinsic holy nature of love] is no darkness at all." 1Jn.1:5. When the Lord first brought forth and introduced that substance called "darkness" which was upon the waters (Gen.1:13), it was in His eyes, very good-Gen.1:31. But it was not perfect for it lacked the fulness of the light and life that was in God. Thus it was in the beginnings of His natural and spiritual design in the creation. In the process of His creating, God divided Himself from the darkness in the light of His own Holiness-Gen.chptr.1. This left a spiritual as well as visible substance of His creation that was opposite to His own basic intrinsic nature and being. You might say it left a portion of His creation which was VOID of His true eternal light, life and holiness.

In the light of the Creator retaining ABSOLUTE SOVEREIGNTY OVER ALL THINGS, it should now be more easily understood when it is said of the Lord, "the

DARKNESS AND THE LIGHT ARE BOTH ALIKE TO THEE." Psa.139:12. Our great God that formeth and "MAKETH ALL THINGS" (Isa.44:34) spoke a tremendous truth when He said, "I FORM the LIGHT and CREATE the DARKNESS: I make peace and CREATE EVIL: I the Lord do ALL THESE THINGS." Isa.45:7. It is contrary to overwhelming scriptural truth to believe anything less than "HE that BUILT [prepared] ALL THINGS is God." Heb.3:4. Because truths concerning "ALL THINGS" do not fit well into man’s preconceived ideas and doctrines, too often he tries to qualify and minimize such universal statements to fit into the narrow mold of his carnal mind. Let us now look further into the scriptures and see that the Lord God Almighty brought the beginnings of that which we call "evil" into finite creation, yet all the while, He Himself remains holy and pure apart from the darkness and from every attribute of sin and evil-Habk.1:13. God’s PURPOSE and MOTIVES in evil are far different than that of man. See our writing entitled "The Lord Killeth and Maketh Alive" for further study on this subject.

We find in Gen.1:9,10, that the darkened waters which were gathered together under the heaven unto one place, formed the seas of the earth and the dry land appeared in the midst of this water. This is also a spiritual picture of spiritual things in the land of man’s soul. The substance or seed of darkness, not yet known or manifest as "evil" was now divinely sown in the earth as the waters receded from the Land. Then Adam’s physical body of flesh was formed from the finite dust of this same land or ground, but his inner spiritual man [from the heavenlies] was formed and made manifest by a divine breath [spirit] of infinite life from out of God Himself-Gen.2:7. This is where the so called fall or lowering of man actually began.

This spiritual seed containing potential "darkness" which was later to spring up and become known as the force or power of "evil" and "iniquity", was now divinely planted in man’s terrestrial being. Yet it was still "good". No perversion had been exercised. According to plan, man’s mind and body was very good but he was at this early stage, far from being in the image of God’s incorruptibility, holiness and wisdom. Man at this point had no revelation of what constituted right or wrong, good or evil, much less true love and holiness. Only the Creator Himself had that knowledge. He intends to fully share His nature with mankind but chose a plan of action which necessitates a lengthy process in order to bring this about. And who are we to question His methods?

"The Tree Of Life"

"The tree of life" which contained the way into the eternal, immortal, incorruptible life of God was never partaken of by early man-Gen.3:22. Before man could enter into this completeness of His creation, it was ordained that God’s divine hedge of protection--like unto Job 1:10--be partially removed.

The knowledge of this potentially evil seed thing which was the opposite of holiness and mercy, was planted in the garden [even in the Adamic mind] in the type of a tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Gen:2:9), purposely placed there by none other than God Himself. It began bearing both fruits, sprung up from the "seed within itself." Gen.1:11-12. The question has long been, "How could one come to know and truly enjoy goodness along with its glorious completeness called holiness, unless he had known and experienced its opposite?" Hence, man first discovered and disobeyed the law of the forbidden tree, partaking of its subsequent vanities.

All of this was actually purposed according to God’s own will and reason-Ro.8:19; Psa.90:3; Eccl.1:13; 3:11. Evil in mixture with goodness was purposed by the Lord alone to become necessary elements in ultimately fulfilling the "eternal purpose" (Eph.3:11) in His great plan of the ages-Eph.1:9-11. In much the same principles as those governing the law of resurrection, God in the beginning sowed in the earth "a natural body". "a living soul", which was "of the earth" (1Cor.15:44-47) to ensure the eventual emergence of a new and spiritual offspring wherein He would share His complete nature by being "all in all," 1Cor.15:28. His all encompassing plan involved the redemptive process called "salvation" which was the preordained method chosen of God to play a major part in His work of creation. Why did He choose to act upon this particular plan? Carefully study Ro.9:14-23.

Now the tree in Gen.3:6 which typifies "a way", was in its appearance, "pleasant to the sight and good for food", but only after a law was given, did it appear as a strong temptation. Until the appointed time when God commanded, "But of the tree (way of human life in and) of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it" (Gen.2:17), there could be no conception of evil in the form of sin mainly because there had been no law-Isa.24:5,6. Neither could there be any knowledge or concept of judgment and justice, righteous or otherwise.

The first Adam was totally NAIVE and IGNORANT of both sin and death as well as its consequences. As a matter of fact, man was lacking much knowledge and wisdom which the Lord had ordained for him to attain. This was not to last for long. "Until the law sin was in the world; but SIN IS NOT IMPUTED WHEN THERE IS NO LAW." Ro.5:13; 4:15; Tit.1:5. Paul made another statement which has far reaching application and is applicable to all mankind including Adam. "I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not know lust, except the law had said, "Thou shalt not covet." Ro.7:7,8. Had there been no original sin or no guilt, there would be no need to depend on God our Saviour. But all things are as they now are, simply because he is ho He is and does what he pleases, for who hath resisted His will?" Ro.9:19.

The crooked serpent which enticed mankind in the garden, was in reality, a symbol or type of the appearance of Adam and Eve’s own imperfect and unholy subconscious mind of iniquity and lust, which through the original law, now became manifest in the for of the Power of TEMPTATION. The inherent seed of iniquity [lawless self-will] of a now divided and lower than God nature (Heb.2:7) was not found manifest in the previously untainted conscience of the Adamic creation-Ezk.28:15. The first Adam creation were in no way perfect. They had limits to their abilities. They lacked much in experience and hence in knowledge and understanding. They had necessary strengths but also had an obvious fatal weakness. At this stage of their development, they would prove to be vulnerable and helpless and by reason of God were powerless to prevent their subjection to vanity-Ro.8:20. According to divine design, "EVERY MAN is tempted [including Eve] when HE IS DRAWN AWAY OF HIS OWN LUST [inherent ungodly iniquity of a self willed nature] and enticed. Then when lust [in any form of iniquity] hath conceived, it bringeth forth SIN: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth for DEATH." Jas.1:14,15; Mk.7:15.

When temptation was first entertained and yielded to and the choice of the will was made to disobey, a major POWER OF EVIL in the form of SIN and DEATH became manifest in the natural world. Through weakness and ignorance, mankind had become the servants of sin and death-Gen.3:14. The soul [woman] was no longer in peaceful harmony nor union with the spirit [man]. Goodness was perverted. Ethical or moral evil is the basic attribute and nature of this spiritual darkness. The name "devil", "Satan", "dragon", "crooked serpent" etc. is given to the source of this universal embodiment and power of evil. It is evident that temptation has always been one of the devil’s principle methods of attack on humanity-Matt.4:3-7. Although the first Adam had a profound effect in bringing all mankind unto death, how much more effective it is assured us, will be the last Adam in bringing mankind into eternal life-Ro.5:13-21; 1Cor.15:21-28. The wages of sin is temporary death (Ro.6:23), NOT ETERNAL DEATH (1Cor.15:25,26) because only the life in God is of His eternal substance. Everything outside of Him has a beginning and an ending.

God, who is the true source and essence of holiness and love, purposes to dwell in total unity with holy myriad’s of Himself with whom He will share the fulness of His loving nature and attributes, all the while receiving the same love in return. It is obvious that a compulsory or outwardly forceful robot type of love would not be a real godly love. Hence, the Almighty in the very beginning, purposed and set in existence a nature which expressed an image with characteristics other than His own. He did this in order that man’s own will might be conformed to the image of God’s holy will. Self-will was to be a necessary forerunner of godly will. The Creator in His divine wisdom and foreknowledge, foresaw that self-awareness was essential to precede an eventual God-awareness. Likewise, He determined that independence was to be a prerequisite in learning dependence upon Himself. Human love was to be a preliminary step in realizing the greater Love of God. Adam had much to learn about himself and about God.

Knowledge of good and evil is the unlimited knowledge appropriated to divinity-Gen.3:5. Through his subjection to the knowledge of evil, man was to be tested. He was to learn not only how great the true love of God really was, but he was also appointed to learn just what this love was, and how to be filled with it-Eph.4:9. He was to learn how he would receive, appreciate and return this highest form of love found in his salvation, all the while gaining true godly wisdom in the process. Man’s own will was to be sovereignly processed and molded through experience into the very likeness and image of God’s own will and holiness. These were some of the basic motives and methods of God in His plan of the creation, redemption and restoration of mankind.

We are seeing that the creation of man was to involve a continual work, culminating eventually in a designated divine maturity. In the beginning, man may have been created mature enough to reproduce in the physical sense but he was far from spiritual maturity and the ability to be able to reproduce in a spiritual sense. One very necessary thing he lacked to obtain this goal, was experience-Ro.5:3-5; Heb.5:13,14. It was necessary that he be tried and proven, not to see how great he was but rather how pitiful he really was in the sight of God. Apart from having the nature of God being fulfilled in him, he could never have dominion over all the earth-Heb.2:7; Gen.1:28. Many things in the earth and in himself, would continue to hold dominion over him - Ro.6:9,14.

An Instrument For His Work

Everything that has transpired since the beginning of all creation was foreknown to God. As we will continue to show, nothing happened by accident-Ro.8:20; Rev.13:8; 2Tim.1:9; Psa.135:6. "Known unto God are ALL HIS WORKS FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD."Ac.15:18. The slaying of the Lamb for the redemption of all mankind (Rev.13:8) was in God’s mind as a preordained plan to negate all forthcoming evil. This solution was in His mind even from the foundation of the earth. It was not at all an after thought. The garden incidents were not the results of any unexpected hostile intervention. It was God, not the serpent that directly imposed the death penalty and the curse upon His creation-Gen.3:14-19. He could not have been ignorant of all the evil effects which would follow, nor could He have done this erroneously nor against His own sovereign will. Because He alone is almighty and without peers in the creation (Isa.46:9,10), it had to be according to His own divine intentions. As hard as this is for the natural human mind to fathom and accept, there is no other explanation that harmonizes with scripture - 2Sam.6:10-12.

Job tells us bluntly, "THE DECEIVED and THE DECEIVER ARE HIS" (Jb.12:16; Jer.12:2a) and "whatsoever is under the whole heaven is His."Jb.41:11; Ro.11:36. As a matter of fact everything in the whole universe in His to do with as He wills-1Chr.29:11,12; Jb.23:13. "The Lord hath made ALL THINGS FOR HIMSELF, EVEN THE WICKED for the day of evil" (Prv.16:4), which day is surely upon us-Eph.5:16; 6:13. The Lord saith, "Behold, I HAVE CREATED THE SMITH THAT BLOWETH THE COALS IN THE FIRE, AND THAT BRINGETH FORTH AND INSTRUMENT FOR HIS WORK; and I HAVE CREATED THE WASTER [the devastator, Satan] to destroy." Isa.54:16. "His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth." Jb.41:21. We see that the Lord of lords commands and has in His sovereign control the powers of both good and evil. "Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not EVIL AND GOOD.?"Lam.3:38; Ex.4:11; Jer.51:7. After all, if God didn’t want evil to exist, He could have easily prevented it in the exercise of His omnipotence. He could also easily eliminate it at any time. This He will do but His time is not yet.

Up to this point, we have seen that God Himself created evil [not sin] which was expressed in the form of darkness as opposed to light upon the face of the waters. Man through his disobedience, brought evil and sin [perversion of good] into operation in the own through his own flesh. "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, IS NOT [manifested] OF THE FATHER, but is of the world."1Jn.2:16. The Lord, through a wondrous foreordained plan is using this same evil as an instrument to mature and perfect His creation. Through it all, "God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry [but not in the sense man believes He is] with the wicked every day. If He turn not, He will whet His sword [according to His true word]; He hath bent His bow and made it ready. he hath also prepared for him [even Himself] THE INSTRUMENTS OF DEATH; HE ORDAINED His arrows against the persecutors."Psa.7:13. He is processing and perfecting His creation in this way, "that they may offer unto the Lord and offering in righteousness."Mal.3:3. Even the first man Adam came short of the true glory and righteousness of His Maker. But because of His God-created lack of abilities, his God-planned environment so close to evil, and His God-ordained circumstances, who can blame him for His fall from the edenic state. If the Almighty would never have purposed the evil seed to take root in man’s mind, He most certainly would never have allowed it!

Now searching the scriptures for a different vantage point of the same view will shed even more light on the origin of this ungodly negative force called "evil."

The Lucifer Lie

There is a shaky fundamentalist doctrine put forth by a majority of theologians today, who claim that long ago, there dwelt in heaven, a righteous, shining angel whose name was "Lucifer". Somehow, out of they know not where, through reason of his brightness, he developed A SPIRIT OF PRIDE (in heaven no less), rebelled against God and was consequently cast out of God’s immediate presence, being stripped forever of his former nature and his position of holiness. Sadly, most theologians fail to emphasize the all important and significant factors that God’s omnipotent, omniscient sovereignty had to have played in these acts. How can anyone believe that Lucifer took on "the power of death" (Heb.2:14) apart from the authority and will of Him who has absolute power and authority over all things? 1Chr.29:11; 1Sam.2:6,7; Hos.6:1. We are supposed to believe that somehow, from an angel full of truth and light, he was self-transformed contrary to the omnipotent One’s will, into an angel full of evil.

Most who believe it happened this way are the same ones who also refuse to believe that the Lord had anything at all to do with the evil that now permeates all mankind. They fail to glorify God as the Boss and errantly place all responsibility for every kind of evil either on the devil or man or both. Now truthfully, if a chief angel was actually cast out of heaven by the Lord, then it must also be ascribed to our omniscient God that He did not foresee the dire consequences that this would cause in His newly formed creation. If we held to popular theology it would follow that He whose ways (2Sam.22:31) and works are perfect (Deut.32:4), made the most tragic mistake and biggest blunder of all time. Either that, or else all the evil in the world today is not outside the will of our Creator!

This whole Lucifer-devil theory is arrived at by only a few scriptures that might indicate such a beginning. The trouble with this interpretation beside being unreasonable, is that it does not fit in with what the rest of God’s word has to say bout darkness and evil. "And no marvel: for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." He is the great deceiver-Rev.12:9; Matt.24:24,25. In light of this, its understandable how man’s doctrine teaches he was transformed from an angel of great light and holiness into one of great darkness and evil. Let us look again at the very beginning, letting the scriptures speak for themselves.

"IN THE BEGINNING was the word...the same was IN THE BEGINNING WITH GOD."Jn.1:1,2. Here, this word ‘BEGINNING’ is depicting the unknown ORIGIN and existence of God in infinity, before the commencing of finite time and finite things as we know them. It is further back than the mortal mind can grasp. The words "BEGINNING" here are translated from the Grk. "arch", and is the same word used in..."the faithful and true witness, THE BEGINNING [architect] of the creation of God."Rev.3:14. This same word is used in describing Satan and the BEGINNING OF HIS NATURE.

Jesus, who was his creator, could say with all authority and knowledge, "He was a murderer FROM THE BEGINNING, AND ABODE NOT IN THE TRUTH, BECAUSE THERE IS NO TRUTH IN HIM [and never was]...he is a liar and the father of it."Jn.8:44. How can this possibly be describing the Lucifer was once supposedly ABODE IN THE TRUTH? Tradition says, Lucifer who later became the devil, was HOLY FROM HE BEGINNING and only AFTERWARDS developed the SIN OF PRIDE...while IN HEAVEN no less. Jesus, said, "THE DEVIL SINNETH FROM THE BEGINNING" (1Jn.3:8) and IN THE BEGINNING was a murderer and a liar and NEVER DID ABIDE IN THE TRUTH! So, the truth is, he did not rebel against his Creator become evil by his own freewill. Rather, he was brought forth as an adversary and a waster even before the beginning of the time of the ages. From the beginning, he was to play a most necessary role in God’s hidden purpose for the ages - Eph.3:9-11.

If we look at the preceding scripture in this understanding, the question arises...who then is, or might Lucifer be? In Ezk.28 and Isa.14, there are found revealing types and shadows of the original fall of man and his subsequent judgments, culminating in the final triumph of good over evil. "For it is appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judgment."Heb.9:27. Man came into judgment [death with separates] when he disobeyed in the garden and has remained in this divine judgment ever since. God is not unjust. "But now once in the end of the world hath He [Christ] appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself." Heb.10:26. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, if a man keep my sayings [obedience] he shall never see death." Jn.8:51.

Is This The Man

In Isa.14 and Ezk.28, God’s word is directed to the kings of Babylon and Tyre [types of worldly systems wherein man, through his own self effort and pride has tried to create his own paradise while relying on his own wisdom rather than God’s. We find in Rev.17:18 that mankind has consequently became a slave o his own corrupt systems. These kings are none other than man himself, exalted in his own pride and glory, unknowingly ruled by the mystery of iniquity which had taken root in his heart.

Before his disobedience, man was innocent, without conscious sin and guilt in thought or action, but he lacked in knowledge and experience of God’s high thoughts and ways. he had only his own terrestrial glory (1Cor15:35), a lesser glory than Christ-like perfection...for we find he was easily deceived and took on corruption., Yes Adam, "Thou wast PERFECT IN THY WAYS from the day that thou wast created, TILL INIQUITY WAS FOUND IN THEE." Isa.28:15. Even though he was blameless and the epitome of the earthly creation, he still entertained sin and came short of the righteousness and glory of God-Ro.3:10,23. "Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty."Ezk.28:12. It is obvious the glory of his human wisdom and maturity was unprecedented, but he sadly lacked in the spiritual glories of true godly wisdom and the fullness of maturity which God ultimately desired. Consequently, "Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy BRIGHTNESS." Ezk.28:17.Ro.1:21-23. This is a perfect picture of proud humanity. A fallen angel surely could not fit the description of the king of Tyrus. ‘YET THOUGH ART A MAN and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God,"Ezk.28:2. "Thou shalt be A MAN and no God in the hands of him that slayeth thee." Ezk.28:9. Lucifer or Satan was not slain--but man has been-1Sam.2:6,7; Deut.28:22; Jb.13:15. Again we see A MAN in Isa.14:16 which speaks directly of Lucifer. "Is the MAN that made the earth to tremble?" No where is the devil said to be a man!

The earth was to be ruled by the Adam creation of man and woman. Their spirit was created in the basic likeness and bright beauty of the figure (Ro.5:12) of God..of whom Christ is the perfected image-Col.1:15; Gen.1:26. Adam in this primary figure was a son of the "daystar", the bright or "shining one", "the lightbringer." This is the original meaning of the name Lucifer. Adam was "son of the morning" and the morning star, the sun, the daystar is Christ-Rev.22:16; 2Ptr.1:19. See also Isa.14 footnote in the Amplified Bible. As long as Adam was not a partaker of the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil", he was still present upon the earth abiding in the blameless spirit and light of the daystar.

Therefore this Lucifer, the first created of all God’s intelligent beings, was the first bringer of the light [life, truth] of God’s actual existence. This was Adam [male and female-Gen.5:22] who fell from his exalted spiritual position of rule (Isa.14:12) to the lower soul ream of the carnal mind. He began experiencing knowledge and wisdom that "descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish." Jas.3:15. "For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ASCEND into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ASCEND above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most high." Isa.14:13,14. See our writing "A World Of Iniquity" for application of these scriptures to the nature of man.

All this cannot be referring to the serpent directly, as the serpent nowhere said he would be like the most high. Rather, he did say to the Adamic creation, "YOU SHALL BE AS GODS, knowing both good and evil." Gen.3:5. True, but this deceptive spirit of iniquitous pride in the woman [soul] also spoke, "ye shall not surely die." Gen.3:4. She chose to believe this, thereby opening the windows of her soul to self deception and pride.

Again, how could this be a description of an angel who was ALREADY residing IN HEAVEN; for when the pride and lust manifested, it was in the form of desire to ASCEND INTO HEAVEN?" The ungodly sin and spirit of pride is a basic attribute of the evil one, so it must certainly have had a beginning or an origin other than by a righteous angel alone! Actually, only God Himself has the power to bring forth something out of that which at one time was seemingly non-existent-Isa.44:24; Jn.1:3. All substance, spirit or solid, had its origin in God and by Him all things consist - Col. chptr.1 and John chptr.1.

The five "I will’s" listed in Isa.14:13,14 are revealing basic earthy drives found in all fallen human nature. This iniquity which exalts flesh and self above all, has been unwillingly passed down throughout the generations of mankind-Ex.20:5; 34:7; Num.14.18; Isa.65:7. This spiritual serpent of rebellious iniquity in man’s lower nature had so developed before the great flood, that this unholy power indirectly caused even a third of the angels to fall [be dethroned of righteous powers] from their first estate and become locked in age enduring chains of darkness-Jude 6; 2Ptr.2:4; Isa.58:6. It is said of the Lord, "His angels He charged with folly."Jb.4:18. See Gen.6:1-4 for description of the cause of their fall and its effect - vs.5.

It surely grieved the Lord’s heart that man was made subject to these evils but lest we misunderstand, God did not regret it so much for His own sake but for man’s sake. It especially grieved Him to behold the sore travail of man’s soul as he goes through the necessary evils, trials and judgments whereby he is being molded into the very image of glory which his Creator has purposed for him-Gen.6:6,7; Ro.8:19

"His Hand..Formed The...Serpent" Jb.26:13

The origin and names of the evil one created by God in the beginning, is also greatly revealed to us in types and shadows through the following scriptures. Once again, here is no fallen angel, but a spirit, an original and unique created nature, a powerful negative force, personified as an essential material character, brought forth "as the first-born of death" (Jb.18:13), that is in opposition to the positive eternal life of Almighty God.

Look how God describes this hidden but surely existing reality as "the great dragon" through the words of the prophet Ezekiel. "Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh, KING of Egypt, the GREAT DRAGON that lithe in the midst of his rivers [spirits] which hat said, my river is my own, and I have made it for myself. Isn’t that just about what humanism says? "But I will put hooks into thy jaws" [denoting God’s sovereign control] Ezk.29:3,4.

Who is this great dragon? Compare Job 41:1,2 where the Lord calls him LEVIATHAN with a hook..."Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?" Jb.41:2. "He is a KING over all the children of PRIDE."Jb.41:34. Compare this with Rev.9:11 "Abaddon", "Appollyon." Where did this DRAGON KING, LEVIATHAN come from? Did he fall from heaven? No! The scriptures tell us that beyond any doubt that God created him. His hand formed him.

Leviathan was always there in the deep dark waters of "the great and wide sea" (Psa.104:24), even in the mind and the universal Spirit of the Creator before He "divided the light from the darkness" (Gen.1:4) and "the waters from the waters" [even created spirit from His own Spirit] Gen.1:6. "He divideth the sea [of His own spirit substance] with His power He smiteth through the proud [Heb."Rahab"-breadth-denoting expanse of the universe]. BY HIS SPIRIT He hath garnished the heavens; HIS HAND HATH FORMED [Heb."chil"..brought forth in pain] THE CROOKED SERPENT." Jb.26:12;13. Who can deny that our Almighty God hath ‘FORMED ALL THINGS" (Prv.26:10; Eccl.7:13) even that ‘CROOKED SERPENT." "Thou now sendeth forth thy Spirit, they are created."Psa.104:30. He is in sole command of "the heavens and ALL the hosts of them" (Psa.33:6; Isa.45:12)....even of "THAT LEVIATHAN WHOM THOU HAS MADE to mock in derision to scorn in the earth. "Psa.104:26.

This crooked old serpent’s dwelling place and identity is reveal further and confirmed beyond any doubt when we also read "In that day the Lord with His sore and great and strong sword shall punish LEVIATHAN THE PIERCING SERPENT, EVEN LEVIATHAN THAT CROOKED SERPENT: and He shall slay THE DRAGON THAT IS IN THE SEA [spirits, nations of humanity]. Isa.27:1; Psa.89:10.

The water [sea-Rev.13:1] which John saw upon whom the whore [Babylon the Great] sits, is also the beast (Rev.17:3) whose mind is the peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues." Rev.17:5. Babylon, "the faithful city that’s become a harlot (Isa.1:21), " the habitation of devils.."(Rev.18:2), "the lady of kingdoms.." (Isa.47:5-15), this same confused and corrupt world system involving the religious, political and economical "harlot daughter" of the earth which now ride and control all mankind (through the carnal beastly nature), shall soon be thrown down with violence and found no more at all-Rev.18:21. fear not you faithful children of God, for god "rulest the raging of the sea" [of humanity] Psa.89:9. Babylon has in reality been no more than "a golden cup IN THE LORD’S HAND, that made all the earth drunken." Jer.51:7.

For those who can see by the Spirit what Babylon really is, the cry of the Spirit continues to go forth, "Come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues."Rev.18:4. Beloved, who can hear? The beast is getting his power from that dragon with his own flesh. "And the dragon gave him his power, and his seat [rulership] and great authority. "Rev.13:2.

The dragon is dwelling in the midst of humanity, yet most of humanity are oblivious to his existence. It is especially among you the church to whom we write, wherein Satan dwelleth.." "even where Satan’s seat is." Rev.2:13. He is in that same seven-headed beast which rises up out of the sea [masses of people]-Rev.13:1. "Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: Thou breakest the heads [governing powers] of Leviathan in pieces." Psa.74:13,14. Yes, LEVIATHAN is none other than ‘The GREAT DRAGON, THAT OLD SERPENT, called THE DEVIL AND SATAN which deceiveth the whole world." Rev.12:9.

The Mystery Revealed

Deception cannot help but reign in the earth "until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts." 1Cor.4:5. "And now ye know what withholdeth [the manifested coming of Christ in His saints] that he [that old Adam nature, that man of sin, the son of perdition, the beast-Rev.17:11] might be revealed in his [God’s appointed] time. For the MYSTERY OF INIQUITY doth already work [ and has been working in our fleshly, carnal, rebellious minds since iniquity was found in Adam]. Only he [Satan, the antichrist spirit of iniquity in our flesh] who NOW LETTETH [HINDERS the full release of our Christ nature] will LET [HINDER, restrain, bind], until he [antichrist self-righteous, self-motivating iniquity] be taken [cleansed, destroyed] out of the way. And then shall that wicked [that same mysterious spirit of iniquity which tempts and forcefully drives the carnal mind] be revealed [as he is being revealed now], whom THE LORD SHALL CONSUME WITH THE SPIRIT OF HIS MOUTH; and SHALL DESTROY WITH THE BRIGHTNESS OF HIS COMING. Even him [deceptive antichrist spirit] whose coming is [and always has been] after the [manner and] working of Satan with all [relegated] power and sign and lying wonders...in them that perish [are loosed, die] because they received not the love of the truth (Eph.4:15) that they might be saved" [delivered, tried, purified made white] 2Ths.2::5-10.

Yes the Lord will destroy IN his holy nation, "the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail [of the iniquitous carnal mind] that is spread over all nations." Isa.25:7. "For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known." Lk.12:2; 18:17; Heb.4:13; Matt.10:26.

"For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil." Eccl.12:14
