God or Adam
Life Notes published by Life Givers Ministries PO Box 251 Lincolnton GA 30817-0251 Part IV July/August 2000
As we continue to "press on toward the mark" by looking at the life of Abraham, let us do our best to stay focused on the prize of the high calling of Yahweh in Messiah Yahshua— being changed into His image by Holy Spirit. I feel that the ultimate goal of Yahweh is for everyone to be a manifestation of Messiah to the world. If one would review the scripture concerning the promises and covenant that Yahweh made with Abraham, it would be readily apparent that all the promises made by Yahweh belong to those who are in Yahshua Messiah. Apostle Paul states it very clearly in Gal. 3:9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham and in verse 29 And if ye be Christ's (Messiah’s), then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. As I stated in part III, the promises that were fulfilled in Yahshua, must be fulfilled in us in exactly the same way. Therefore, since the covenant Yahweh made with Abraham was unconditional, meaning that Abraham had nothing to do to bring it to pass, so too, we have literally nothing to do in order for Holy Spirit to affect the "complete" change in our lives to make us manifested sons of Yahweh, exhibiting all the characteristics of Yahshua. What an exciting prize to be going toward. Remember, the only way to avoid being deceived is to see yourself as Yahweh sees you—have a God consciousness!
What is Yahweh’s Restoration Plan
Yahweh does in fact have a remedy that guarantees our being conformed to the image of Yahshua. Since Yahweh created everything, all things consist in Him and all things will be reconciled in Him. Therefore, His intention to set Israel apart as a distinctive nation from all others for Himself, the remnant in this age must also be set apart as a distinct people for Yahweh’s purposes. The perceptions that we have had of ourselves, can only be removed by the ‘water of separation’ as identified in Num 19:13. Israel lost its distinction by being largely assimilated into Egyptian customs and idolatry. We lose our distinction by assimilating into the world system of doing and saying things. This ought not to be. Historically, we can see that the plagues of Egypt were a demonstration that Israel was exempt from the consequences of them, but Passover was emphatically the most dramatic indicator of this distinction. This was so dramatic as to entice many Egyptians to join the Israelites that were released from the power of Pharaoh without using a gun and without a war.
The mixed multitude that left Egypt is indicative of the people who have "joined" the people of Yahweh today, hoping He will be good to them and they can enjoy His blessing in and on their lives. However, we are living in a time when Yahweh is setting His mark upon the remnant who will set all creation free. There will not be any mixed multitude among those who are being "called out" unto Him today. Perhaps the prophet Ezekiel in chapter 36 saw what Yahweh is doing.
Over many years as Yahweh’s people have been scattered, like Israel of old, among the nations, conforming to the ways of the heathen and becoming convinced that this is how life is supposed to be. As a result, there is very little noticeable difference between the life of a "Christian" and the life of someone who, as yet, does not know the Father. In Ezekiel 36:23 Yahweh says You have profaned my name among the heathen. Many "Christian" businessmen operate as do the ungodly men in their business. The percentage of "Christian" marriages that end in divorce is equal to that of the rest of society and "Christian" children are just as prone to drug use and illicit sexual activity. Various sicknesses and disease are just as common in the "church" as in the world. Yahweh is, today, restoring the integrity of His name that we have profaned among the heathen. I am not exempt and have been just as guilty of the accusation of the prophet. However, since Yahweh has illuminated my spirit, I now see things that before were hidden in darkness. Do I need to live subject to anger, fear and lust, when Yahshua dwells within me and is my life? This is how ridiculous our testimony has become to the world today.
The "code of ethics and morals" established by religion has reduced "Christianity" to a set of religious laws to live by, thinking them to be the "life of Messiah." So we fail. So what? We console ourselves with the idea that "everybody does it and nobody’s perfect!" Who wants to be so heavenly minded that they are of no earthly good? This is the level to which the testimony of Messiah has fallen.
In reading Ezekiel 36:25-38 we find little relevance to the "gospel" being preached by the majority that says "repent, be sorry for your sins, give your heart to Yahshua, ask him into your life and you will be saved and go to heaven when you die!"
In Yahweh’s restoration movement, Holy Spirit is the prime mover and the whole process is based upon the "I will" of Yahweh without any demand for "if you will!" Notice please, that what Yahweh will do with the nation of Israel, he will also do to the marked remnant in the end times. Israel is the type in the physical of what the remnant is called to be—the manifestation of Yahshua to the world.
Most of us are so self-centered we never consider that what Yahweh is doing in us has anything to do with anyone else. All Father does is just for our benefit. Yahshua did not have that mind set. Everything he did was for all mankind. Naturally, we can accept that as being true for Yahshua but surely that does not apply to us today, or does it?
In reading Ezekiel 37, we find many things prophesied through Ezekiel to the nation of natural Israel that I feel will also happen to us in the end time. If we would each consider our spiritual condition and makeup, we would most likely find a lot of "dry bones"—religious training, man-made tradition, hypocrisy etc.. What the Father proposes to do is rid each of us of all the things that we’ve picked up along the way and rebuild us in the image of Yahshua. He will gather the bones, apply sinew (true word), bring new flesh and put His Spirit within us. The in dwelling of Holy Spirit will allow only the things of the Father to be manifested to the world. As Yahshua was in the world, so too we will be. We will only do what the Father says to do, and only say what the Father says to say. In order for Yahweh to "rebuild" our "bone structure", our "old man" must be completely dead. Dead men don’t feel anything. Therefore whatever anyone says about us will have no effect on our walk in the Spirit. We will be placed into our own land (territory) to conquer whatever giants are there. What an exciting prospect!!
Just because we personally seek to be holy and never go to the extremes some others have gone, we tend to get "puffed up" with ourselves like the Pharisee that Yahshua spoke about in the temple who said, "I thank god that I am not as other men are, I fast twice a week and pay my tithes!" But there was a publican there who was honestly saying, "God be merciful to me a sinner!" If we will humble ourselves we will be allowed to see Yahshua as our own true identity and not just as a historic figure. It is so easy to slip over into the idea that we are more important in spiritual matters that we really are. Granted, the Father wants to use us after we have been purged from the corruption that surrounds us on a daily basis. Does that mean that we won’t be used until we are finally cleaned up? NO! The cleansing process is continual with the tests and trials only getting more difficult. We can get some idea of where we are in the realm of the spirit by discerning the degree of difficulty of the tests and trials. A great number of "Christians" would have you think that if you were really in God’s will, you wouldn’t be going through the problems that seem to be coming your way. Count it all joy when you fall into diverse temptations (trials) knowing that the trying of your faith is building endurance in order for you to become an overcomer.
The book of Revelation speaks about "him that overcomes" will be allowed to sit in the throne. This is spoken by Yahshua several times rather emphatically. A question I have is, "if the church is "raptured" out of the world, how will it ever overcome?
Once again thanks to Brother Des Walter for his insights. We will continue this theme in the next Life Notes Frank <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Thoughts from Barbara
Dear Brothers and Sisters, Each time I think about our heavenly Father, I am more amazed!! His mercy and grace toward us is overwhelming! His patience with our short-comings is beyond comprehension. I stand in awe at His loving kindness, new every morning!
As He changes me from glory to glory, I sometimes wonder if I will ever make it. When I am at my lowest He sends someone or something to assure me He has not left me or forsaken me; that He understands and it’s okay that I failed again.
Our thoughts about the time it is taking us to change are so far from His. We are thinking about the short lifetime on the earth—He’s thinking about eternity! What isn’t taken care of here I'm sure He is able to make perfect there—wherever "there" is!
Somehow we have to learn to let Him perfect us in His time and stop trying so hard to get it done before we leave here. He knows where we are and what we need to go through for Him to get us where He wants us to be. I wish, sometimes, we could do away with calendars that remind us of the years that are flying by and the clocks that remind us of the minutes and hours that we so easily waste away. what a bondage to be "tied down" to this earthly way of life we are all appointed to live. It seems so, well, boring, when we think about what is going on in the Spirit realm where there is no time as we know it.
The time will come, as we relax and rest in Him, that all He wants to accomplish will be finished. In spite of us!! It’s hard sitting and waiting on Father to do the changing in us but He has promised that He would do it and He will have His way.
In John 17:11, Yahshua (Jesus) prays to His Father that we would be one even as He and His Father are one. I really believe that of all people, Yahshua will get His prayers answered. Notice He didn’t ask that we would make ourselves one or even learn to be one. He asked the Father to keep us through His name so we would become one. Nothing that we do but only what the Father will do will ever make us "one" body. In Ezekiel chapters 36 and 37, He plainly states that He will do it and Yahshua knew that promise. He only spoke what the Father had already said. There is nothing that will keep unity away when we, the body, will learn that God (Yahweh, Father) is going to do it, not us!
When we find that rest of Hebrews chapter 4, what a liberty and freedom will come. Truly, the truth shall make us free.
Praise God for all the trials that come for it’s only the fire of God burning all the "old" stuff out so Holy Spirit can put "new" stuff in. Hallelu Yah!!
Let us keep on keeping on, pressing diligently toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Messiah Yahshua).
Be encouraged—He has promised never to leave us and He will finish the good He has started in you! "So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy." Romans 9:16
Keep your eyes on Him, because His eyes are on you.
Running the race with you, Barbara ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To help with un-familiar words in both Covenants
Old Covenant God ....................................... Elohim, Mighty One god ....................................... elohim, mighty one LORD .................................... Yah, Yahweh, Yahovah Hallelu Yah ............................. Praise you Yah
New Covenant God ........................................ Yahweh Lord ........................................ Master or Savior Jesus ........................................ Yahshua (Yah Shua) Christ ....................................... Messiah Please bear in mind that the New Covenant was originally written in both Hebrew and Aramaic. It was then translated into Greek. Therefore, the difference in thinking between the Greek translators thought patterns and the Hebrew and Aramaic thought patterns, creates some inherent conflict. It has been quite enlightening to me to see the differences. I will show two verses for your perusal.
Romans 8:1 So they have no condemnation who walk not in the flesh but in Yah Shua the Meshiah. 2 For the torah of the Spirit of life in Yah Shua the Meshiah liberates me from the torah of sin and death. (The Aramaic New Covenant)
John 3:16 For thus God loved the world: as to give his only birthed Son: that whoever trusts in him not destruct but have life eternal. (The Aramaic New Covenant)
