Brother Bill Britton prophesied over Joyce that she would write songs. She wondered how this could
ever be, and then one day in the midst of a great trial, words came and she realized with great surprise
that the words would become a song. The song that blessed Joyce the most is her song, "My heart is a Sanctuary."
She had read about two missionaries whose plane was shot down when they were dropping gospel tracks over Cuba.
She started corresponding with the Mother of one of the Missionaries, who somehow, found a way to get the words
of the song to her son. The missionary Sneaked the words of the song on tiny shreds of paper into secret prayer
meetings in the prison. Her song "You are a blessing to me" has warmed the hearts of God's people everywhere
it has been heard. All of her songs were written from what she believed or experienced.
